Forsyth County Georgia is located 30 miles north of Atlanta in the lower foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Lake Lanier, a 20 mile long 37,000 acre Army Corp of Engineers Reservoir extends most of the county on the east side offering many recreational activities. Many new swim/tennis and world class golf neighborhoods are located in the county. There are many beautiful parks and recreation centers located in the county offering a wide variety of activities for the whole family. Minutes from downtown Atlanta a variety of shopping and entertainment is available. The school system is one of the state's best with test scores well above the national average.
